Our swimming trips are awesome!

Don't take our word for it though.... Check out some testimonials below:

I have lived with depression for many years and only now I have been able to talk about it, this is due to me taking up fitness. Sea Swimming is by far my biggest fear as I fear the deep water more than anything, and jelly fish, but the feeling I get after getting out gets me through some of my darkest days and since I have been swimming with you my fear is sliding away. I used to cry trying to get in to the water but made myself do it knowing how I feel when I get out. It was a real fight but now swimming with you I can go deep and stay in, I have cried but with joy, I am loving it, THANK YOU for making me feel safe in deep water, it's also giving me confidence in everyday things too.

Fantastic day swimming in beautiful locations. As much as I enjoy open sea swimming, the day was made even more special through the array of sea life and sea birds that we were able to see at close hand - and the weather certainly helped.

I had a great swim from Stackpole Quay to a deserted Barafundle Beach. Got to explore some sea caves and get up close to the gelatinous wildlife. Really good service and help during the booking and great advice and info during the swim. I hope to come back again.

I am a novice but went in the sea on site 1 and site 3, it was great fun, felt refreshed at the end, love the seals and puffins.

"Open water swim coaching"
I really recommend this company.
In particular I liked:
1. Being shown some excellent open water swim routes, including iron man and local triathlon courses
2. Having one on one training from an experienced swimmer who has the ability to impart this knowledge. This includes swim stroke analysis, but also open water specific pointers, including sighting, porpoise dives and turning swiftly round a buoy.
3. It is a professional experience, and involved a discussion about local fauna and what to do in the v v rare event of a jelly fish sting.
Instead of swimming close to shore and feeling nervous, It made my swim more adventurous, safe, relaxed and fun.
I am not an entire novice and am becoming serious about my training, and whilst Andy is really friendly and I can see how he would make almost any standard of swimmer feel comfortable, he also has the class and experience to be able to develop the more serious swimmer.
I now have a lot of good advice to work on for my winter season.
I will be back for more in spring.

"Improved my technique and boosted my confidence immensely"

I would class myself as an inexperienced but enthusiastic beginner to sea swimming. I was looking to gain some sea swimming experience, coupled with some open water confidence building. I booked three sessions over a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and feel that I gained some very valuable advice and experience. The sessions certainly improved my technique and boosted my confidence immensely.

The first session was used to set some ground rules by explaining how the session was going to take place, to assess my ability, and to get me used to using the wetsuit and swim buoy. The weather was glorious, the sun was shining, and the sea was calm – perfect conditions for a first session. Andrew Wallace is an excellent instructor – keeping me at the limits of my comfort zone, but encouraging me to test my ability. Throughout the session Andrew gave constant feedback on my technique and was always encouraging. At the end of the first session I received a written report on my technique with pointers on how I could make changes to improve my sea swimming.

At the second session the sight of the black skies and bigger than expected waves rolling in to the shore brought a knot to my stomach. But, as always Andrew was ready with some encouragement and a reminder that it would be excellent confidence building as the sea conditions couldn’t always be expected to be as flat calm as our last session. For me the session was both exhilarating and terrifying in equal measure – but well worth the experience. Despite my trepidation Andrew was always within a couple of meters of me with words of encouragement and advice on how to deal with the conditions.

For the final session the conditions were perfect again – this session was used to coalesce all of the experiences, and to reinforce the techniques I should be using to improve and maintain my sea swimming.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Swim Pembrokeshire, Andrew is an excellent and encouraging instructor who always maintained the momentum of the session. I always felt that I had maximised the opportunities from my time in the water, and I would certainly recommend a sea swim session with Andrew Wallace and Swim Pembrokeshire to anyone who wants a fantastic experience with a great instructor.

"Swim Pembrokeshire coaching and open water club."
If you are looking to improve your swimming either in the pool or the sea these guys come highly recommended. They have a wealth of knowledge between them on technique and the Pembrokeshire coastline.
I have had a open water 1 to 1 lesson with Andy, which was very thorough and highlighted a number of issues I had with my stroke (shown on video analysis!), Andy gave me some swim drills to help improve and has remained supportive since.
I also use the Swim Pembrokeshire club swims every Tuesday. My confidence in the sea has soared during this summer. I'm now in training for a number of events next year and will continue to use the club and private lessons with Swim Pembrokeshire! Thanks a lot both.
